Was reading OPPO and " McSeanerson " requested this, so I figured out it could be a nice Introduction. Oh and its in good size/quality.
Hi My name is Hans Kuiper, I'm a fellow opponaut and have been reading jalopnik since 07-08 can't remember, I was 16 at the time.
I'm a car illustrator ( or so I say ) and well, I figured it was time to participate in this awesome world that is Oppositelock.
At the moment im living in some poor country in Latin America, and looking to achieve my dream, which is studying Industrial/Transportation Design or Automotive Engineering (I know, kind of different, but I'm good at math and with graphic stuff too! and well... I love cars).
Im 22Yo and looking forward to share my work with you people, and also uploading and sharing material from all the weird, quirky, crap cars I get to see around here.
Here have one illustration I made for a client.
I also happen to do videos (record, edit) for a local car club so theres that too!
Here's hoping for the best and for a good run here!

Looks great! Welcome to Oppo! You should share your video work too as I'm just getting started at that myself. When winter is over up here hopefully I will have a lot of new footage to share with you guys.

heres two old videos I made, one in 2013 and one in 2014.
At the moment had no stablizer so I went on bare hand and stock cam mic.

thanks! I think most people have the ability, the only thing required is time and focus, also be good at observing cars, or whatever you want to draw/paint.

This is really good work! I found your Instagram page and really love your stuff. The "Bullitt" one is great! Seems like we have very similar interests - look forward to seeing more of your work.

That's pretty good considering you don't have a stablizer as far as motion goes. The audio in the Mustang video surprised me as well consider you don't have a mic either. What camera are you using?

For me it is the time and I can't focus on something like that very long. Which I find kind of weird because I can concentrate for hours on other car stuff like auto detailing, watching car videos, auto photography, etc... But I can't focus on homework or most artistic things. I say most because I can play the trombone pretty decently, but otherwise I'm not incredibly artsy

The panamera one was recorded with a D5200 and stock (as in the one incorporated in the camera) mic, and the GT500 was recorded with a D5100 (I had no camera and my best friend lended hers to me) and stock mic.
And about the mustang video, it sounded pretty good live too, the only problem with video is at the moment I didn't know how to mix everything and sound is oversaturated :( it could sound better but whatever, its too late to change it lol

well, curiously thats how I learnt how to draw/paint cars, I LOVE car detailing, back when I was in HS I used to spend one or two days detailing my dad's 4Runner, which he loved lol.
That way you get used to and learn how light affects paint, how does car lines flow throughout the whole car.
to sum it up, you learn mostly by observing and well, I think everybody here loves to observe cars.

That's really cool, I'm in HS myself and I like to spend a whole day or two detailing my own car. I don't do my dad's truck because, well, the products are too expensive to use and not get paid for it unless it's your own personal car. I'm looking to transition now to professional products(most likely Chemical Guys) and really do some intense detailling, and hopefully do a few cars every now and then to make a little cash.
Here's what I can do now...

oh thats nice! Theres something about detailing a car thats really rewarding, I did it to his toyota because I had, and have no car so I just told him to buy the stuff and ill gladly detail it for him. What an awesome time to jave a car and enjoy detailing, here where I live you cant drive until 18 and HS ends when you are around 16/17 y/o
